• Day 3 of our annual meeting was a success! The day wrapped up the conference and set the potential location for 2026.

    The following topics were covered on our final day:

    β€’ Quality Management System Indicators by Pickering

    β€’ Quality Control Considerations for Gamma Spectroscopy by Ortec

    β€’ Peer benchmarking questions

    β€’ Location for next year’s conference was voted to be Belleview, Washington.

    β€’ PPCAG Chair and Vice Chair voting was conducted with Brooke Underwood moving up from Vice Chair to take over as Chair and Janna Clarke is our new Vice Chair. Congratulations to them both!

    We want to extend a special thank you to our outgoing Chair, Shannon Wenner, for the leadership, organization, and energy she brought to our group.

    Finally, we would like to extend a special thank you to the vendors who attended the conference, especially Curtiss-Wright for their continued guidance and support of the PPCAG group. The vendors offered insightful presentations, product demonstrations and discussions, and sponsored meals and snacks.

  • The second day of PPCAG 2025 continued with a recap of the first day followed by more good presentations.

    The following is a list of presentations for the second day:

    • Chi-Square discussion and use in Radiochemistry by RSI
    • Perspective on Current INPO Chemistry Indicators
    • Radioactive Source Preparations and Effective Detector Calibrations for Blind Sample Analysis by Eckert & Zeigler
    • Analyzer Best Practice Maintenance by SWAN

    Many members of the group also met in the evening for a sunset cruise around the Portland bay and harbor area.

  • The first day of PPCAG 2025 was a success. The group met and confirmed previous meeting minutes followed by reviewing the current budget and membership status.

    There were many interesting presentations for the first day of the conference including:

    • Tritium analysis using TDCR via HIDEX
    • Effects of Iron and PAA on Inline Instrumentation from Hope Creek
    • SampleIQ Report Writer and Mobile Application from GCR
    • Digitizing the Chemistry Process from NextAxiom
    • Trace of Test Results Discussion from Browns Ferry

  • The PPCAG annual meeting is being held in Portland Maine on the week of July 21-23, 2025. This meeting allows members from nuclear power plants around the world to gather in person.
